Job Description:
Job description: Underwrite new commercial loan requests and renewals, including the bank's most complex requests. Perform annual financial reviews of existing commercial relationships. Work collaboratively with Commercial Loan Officers and the credit department leadership to ensure that credit risks are properly identified and presented to credit approvers and loan committees. Ensure that all exceptions to the bank's lending policy are noted and the proper level of approval is achieved. Provide leadership and training to credit analysts for career advancement and enhanced independence. Develop advancing portfolio analytics including concentrations, HLTV, policy tracking, and portfolio stress testing. Maintain strong understanding of the bank's lending policy and interagency regulations. Perform reviews of appraisals and real estate evaluations. Monitor and test loan covenants for existing credit relationships. Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting reviewed by senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience. 5+ years of commercial credit experience within a bank environment. Specialized formal credit training preferred. Ability to analyze and communicate key points impacting borrower's ability to repay. Capability to gather, summarize, and interpret information from other business units. Advanced computer literacy including spreadsheets, word processing, database management. Ability to maintain constructive working relationships. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent banking/work experience. Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis. Excellent communication and presentation skills; team orientation. Familiarity with PC-based and banking software programs; financial analysis software is a plus.
