Job Description
About the Role Reporting to the Sr. Credit and Collections Manager, the Sr. Credit and Collections Specialist will be an integral member of our accounting team. This role partners cross-functionally to streamline processes that support the accounting function, with direct ownership of cash applications, collections, portal invoicing, and credit reviews. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities with ease, and brings the experience needed to contribute immediately to accounting close, invoicing, and collections processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. What You'll Do
- Own major areas of the accounting function, including cash applications, collections, portal invoicing, and credit reviews
- Process customer invoices on a daily basis
- Manage customer correspondence, inquiries, and escalations
- Resolve payment discrepancies and post accounts receivable payments
- Process customer refunds
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate data entry in the sales order system
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and reviews
- Assist and interface with external auditors during the annual audit
- Maintain process documentation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Produce reports as required by management Minimum Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in a general accounting function
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and ownership
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience with Oracle Cloud Below is the base pay range for this full-time position.
