Job Description

The Clerk at GMEFCU is responsible for supporting daily financial and administrative operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in data processing, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. This position is ideal for a retiree or an individual with a flexible schedule who is looking to contribute to the success of a member-focused financial institution. A stipend of $300 will be provided. Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain accurate member records.
  • Perform OFAC screenings for new members and beneficiaries.
  • Assist members with account inquiries, transactions, and corrections.
  • Attend community events and organizational functions to promote GMEFCU services and actively recruit new members.
  • Process loans in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Issue checks for members and vendors with proper documentation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Process payments, deposits, and monthly loan transactions.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Complete bi-weekly FinCEN reporting.
  • Generate and distribute quarterly member statements.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing communications (mail, email, voicemail).
  • File and maintain records securely and accurately.
  • Generate daily, monthly, and annual reports.
  • Review accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures. Qualifications
  • Experience in banking, credit union, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
