Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Credit & Collections Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing and establishing customer credit terms, monitoring accounts receivable, and managing collection activities while maintaining strong relationships with both customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial credit and collections, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively balance customer service with financial risk management. This position plays a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring timely payments, maintaining accurate account information, and assisting with various administrative and operational projects.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
REVIEW
AND ESTABLISH CREDIT TERMS
Review credit applications for validity and completeness Run credit report, evaluate eligibility for terms, and assign terms if applicable Review payment history for established customers and adjust terms as needed Advise customers of alternatives to credit terms Work with other departments for understanding of customer requirements
COLLECTIONS
Monitor accounts receivable for timely payment Contact customers as needed to collect payment Coordinate with other departments to address customer disputes Collect credit card payments during collection process File small claims documents and attend local hearings for collection purposes
OTHER DUTIES
Maintain portal user information Manage portal establishment/renewal process Assist with commissions calculations monthly Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed Process COI requests
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of commercial credit products, market trends, and/or credit procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma required, Associates degree of higher preferred Minimum of 3 years of credit and/or collections experience Proficient using Microsoft Excel and Outlook Experience using accounting/operations web-based software
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
