Job Description

RMS is a leading third-party collection agency committed to professionalism, compliance, and exceptional client service. We are seeking a highly experienced E-OSCAR Disputes Agent to serve as a subject-matter expert in credit bureau dispute resolution across all account types.
Position Overview:
As an E-OSCAR Disputes Agent, you will take ownership of the end-to-end dispute resolution process with a primary focus on E-OSCAR workflows and credit bureaucompliance. This role requires deep expertise in dispute coding, documentation review, regulatory adherence, and timely responses within federally mandated deadlines. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-driven, and confident handling high-volume E-OSCAR disputes independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary processor and subject-matter expert for E-OSCAR disputes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time submissions. Review, investigate, and resolve consumer disputes across all account types in accordance with credit bureau requirements. Analyze account-level documentation to validate, correct, or update disputed information. Select and apply appropriate E-OSCAR dispute codes, responses, and supporting documentation. Communicate professionally with credit bureaus, clients, creditors, and consumers regarding dispute outcomes. Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready records of dispute research, communications, and resolutions. Ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and industry regulations, including FCRA and FDCPA. Identify dispute trends, recurring errors, or potential compliance risks and escalate issues as needed. Partner with internal teams to resolve complex or high-risk disputes efficiently.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in E-OSCAR dispute processing within a third-party collections or financial services environment. Advanced knowledge of E-OSCAR workflows, response codes, and credit bureau timelines. Strong working knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, and related compliance standards. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to manage high-volume E-OSCAR disputes while meeting strict regulatory deadlines.
