JOB OVERVIEW
The Mortgage Loan Servicer is responsible for the full administration of mortgage loan servicing within the CORE system, including oversight of assigned delinquent mortgage loan activities. This role requires a strong working knowledge of AHFC, FHA, VA, PMI, and secondary market servicing to ensure compliance with servicing standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies. Responsibilities include escrow administration, general ledger balancing, reporting, delinquency monitoring and resolution efforts while maintaining accurate documentation and internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Loan Servicing Administration Load, fund, and maintain mortgage loans within the CORE system. Process billing cycles, statements, interest calculations, and payment adjustments. Manually process autopay transactions as required. Prepare and process deferred payment and skip payment documentation. Charge off loans in CORE in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. Set up, monitor, and reconcile HELOC fees. Update loan minors, restrictions, and CORE comments accurately. Perform DNA testing as required. Manage the full escrow analysis process, including annual escrow shortage and overage notifications. Complete full tax reporting and distribute required tax documentation to members. Assist with Fairbanks North Star Borough tax processing twice annually. Track and monitor AHFC and FNMA rate locks. 2. Delinquent Loan Management Monitor assigned delinquent mortgage loans and delinquency report Support repayment arrangements, skip payments, and other loss-mitigation activities as assigned. Ensure delinquency actions are documented accurately in CORE. Prepare delinquency reporting and regulatory tracking. Escalate higher-risk delinquency concerns to management as appropriate. 3. Operational & Team Support Provide support to the mortgage team, including collaboration with underwriting and loan administration as needed. Image and maintain loan documentation as required. Assist with coordination and implementation of servicing-related training. 4. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the mortgage team and organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Experience in loan servicing/processing, and financial institution required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a member-focused mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
