$25/hr -$30/hr

Job Description:

Responsible for making outbound calls and email contact with members regarding loans that are between 30-59 days past due. Responds to member calls and emails in a timely manner. Handles direct and indirect credit disputes by working with members and the various credit bureaus to make corrections. Addresses loan deferment requests under the Member Consumer Lending Assistance Program. Collects and distributes documents to evaluate loan deferment requests and uses member information to draft recommendation memos. Follows Star One policies and all appropriate regulations, which provide guidelines on contacting and communicating with members. Ensures that collection activities are conducted in accordance with federal and state laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Provides support with other duties as assigned. Experience/Minimum Education Requirements - Requires a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of current and relevant experience within a financial institution. Previous collection and member phone experience is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or the equivalent level of education and experience.
