We're looking for a Consumer Loan Processor I who is member focused, detail-oriented, and driven to provide outstanding member experience. In this role, you'll guide members through the consumer lending process from answering questions and originating loan applications to coordinating funding and ensuring a smooth, seamless experience every step of the way. You'll work closely with members, loan officers, dealerships, and internal teams to help members obtain the financing they need while promoting the full range of credit union products and services. What You'll Do As a Consumer Loan Processor I, you will: Serve as a trusted resource by answering member questions about consumer loan products, rates, and credit union services. Guide members through the loan application process and recommend lending solutions that best fit their financial needs. Originate consumer loan applications through multiple channels, including in-branch, online, and by phone. Monitor loan applications from origination through funding while providing timely updates to members. Coordinate with loan officers to facilitate efficient loan decisions and exceptional member service. Explain loan decisions to members, including offering guidance and education when applications are declined. Process approved consumer loans and prepare funding documentation accurately and efficiently. Review loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with credit union policies. Assist with credit card processing, balance transfers, and other lending-related services. Maintain accurate loan records and ensure documentation is properly imaged and retained. Support department goals by participating in audits, meetings, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives. Identify opportunities to introduce members to additional products and services that support their financial well-being. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of experience in a financial institution with demonstrated success in a sales and service environment. Experience with consumer lending, new accounts, teller operations, or member services. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and loan origination systems (LOS). Preferred Qualifications Experience originating and funding consumer loans. Knowledge of lending compliance requirements and credit union lending practices.
