If you're passionate about building relationships, educating others, and growing your lending career, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Lending Consultant I, you'll help members make informed borrowing decisions by: Conducting consultative conversations to understand members' financial goals and recommend appropriate lending solutions. Originating consumer loans, home equity loans, and credit card applications while ensuring accuracy and completeness. Educating members on loan products, credit scores, repayment options, and strategies for improving their financial health. Following up with members through outbound calls regarding loan applications, pre-approvals, and lending campaigns. Identifying opportunities to introduce additional lending products and financial services that benefit members. Coordinating with underwriting and processing teams to move loans efficiently through the approval and funding process. Preparing loan documentation and maintaining accurate records throughout the lending lifecycle. Ensuring compliance with all credit union policies and applicable lending regulations. Building lasting relationships by delivering exceptional member service with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of banking, credit union, consumer lending, sales, or financial services experience preferred. NMLS registration or the ability to obtain registration within 60 days of hire. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to explain financial concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Ability to work independently while collaborating with underwriting, processing, and branch teams. Willingness to travel between branches as business needs require.
