Assist students in all noncredit programs, including but not limited to Adult Basic Education, GED and HiSET preparation, high school diploma, Career Technical Education, and English as a Second Language (ESL) Conduct academic counseling to assess students' immediate and long-range goals and develop educational plans Assist students in interpreting program requirements in written and computerized formats Interpret certificate, transition-to-college, and associate degree requirements to support students in pursuing educational and career objectives Lead group counseling sessions for a variety of student populations, including new students, transition-to-credit students, and Career Technical Education students Collaborate with faculty, counselors, staff, administrators, and community partners to recruit, engage, and support students in noncredit programs, including those in off-campus communities and across college divisionsAssist students with the enrollment process, including testing and placement into appropriate programs and classes Support students with limited digital literacy in onboarding processes and procedures Review and evaluate prior coursework to guide students toward appropriate classes for completion of a high school diploma Provide group counseling sessions and teach noncredit Personal Growth classes Refer students to appropriate community resources Assist students in assessing their aptitudes, abilities, and interests and advise them on current and future employment trends Support students in career exploration and goal-setting using appropriate career resources Assist students in addressing personal challenges that may interfere with their educational and career goals Participate in professional organizations and attend conferences and workshops to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge Undertake the divisional and professional responsibilities of a regular faculty memberServe on college governance committees, participate in college and student services in-service meetings, and/or other appropriate activitiesProvide outreach to prospective students and the community about the college's educational programs and student services Perform other duties as assignedSUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION THE ASSIGNMENT
Eleven Months, 100% - Tenure-track position beginning July 2026Thirty-five (35) hours per week, plus five (5) hours for professional growth and development activities, college governance, and other professional responsibilities.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
