Credit Support Representative Job Description The credit support representative is responsible for processing credit applications, creating customer accounts, and providing support to the credit and accounts receivable departments. Responsibilities Contact customers to obtain account information and create new customer profiles. Initiate and expedite credit references. Review credit application packages for completeness. Post and balance payments to customer accounts, including lockbox, paper checks, credit cards, ACH, and wire transfers. Process credit card transactions. Reconcile and resolve account discrepancies and assist customers with inquiries. Prepare deposit slips for bank deposits. Assist with audit preparation. Print, match, and file paperwork. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor. Essential Skills Customer service Data entry Cash applications Ability to handle varying amounts of volume Credit Accounts Receivable Phone communication with customers Additional Skills & Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent; certification in a related field and/or college degree preferred but not required. 2 years of experience directly related to the duties of the position. Organized, with a high level of attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Capable of following established work instructions and procedures. Experience working with ERPs, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Work Environment This position is onsite, with working hours from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
