Duties Guide clients through the loan origination process, including application submission, documentation review, and approval procedures. Conduct credit analysis and underwriting to assess client eligibility and determine appropriate financial products. Utilize financial software such as Quicken and other banking tools to process loans, maintain records, and generate reports. Negotiate loan terms with clients, ensuring clarity and mutual agreement while adhering to Fair Housing regulations and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly, explaining complex financial concepts clearly, and maintaining ongoing communication throughout the loan process. Stay updated on FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and mortgage servicing policies to ensure compliance and optimal loan management. Assist in preparing contracts, escrow documentation, and other legal paperwork necessary for loan closing and servicing. Requirements Proven experience in financial sales, loan officer roles, or related positions within banking or mortgage industries. Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent customer service abilities. Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, and mortgage servicing procedures. Proficiency in financial software such as Quicken, accounting software, and basic math skills including 10-key typing for data entry accuracy. Knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting processes, loan processing steps, and contract management. Ability to perform detailed credit evaluations using tools like Escrow accounts and banking systems.
