Job Description

As a member of the UBI team, this position supports the servicing of the Bank's consumer real estate loan portfolio, with primary responsibility of managing all aspects of the bank's escrow accounts. This role ensures escrow accounts are accurately established, maintained, analyzed, and disbursed, including the payment of real estate taxes, insurance, and related fees. This position serves as a resource for customers and internal staff while supporting strong compliance, accuracy, customer service, and operational effectiveness within Retail Lending Servicing. Performs essential teller duties when needed. Sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to enhance the bank's image within the community.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong writing skills to compose moderately complex correspondence and reports. Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills to effectively present information to customers, employees, and senior managers in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate amounts such as interest, discounts, and percentages and interpret complex financial reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures. Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information. Understand and apply standardized banking, lending, and marketing concepts and principles Recognize and reconcile problems following established guidelines.
OTHER SKILLS
Knowledge of basic lending and underwriting policies and procedures. Problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with co-workers, loan officers, and managers. Organizational skills to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in an orderly, productive manner. Particularly detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of loans and transactions. Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software to generate correspondence and reports. Telephone skills to handle telephone calls in a professional manner.
