Job Description

General Accountability This position reports directly to the Equity Supervisor. Keeping up with volume and prioritizing tasks appropriately is a challenge in this position. Completing time-sensitive closing documents, disclosures, and satisfactions, setting up and servicing escrow accounts, ordering third party services, quoting and processing payoffs, filing, handling mail, and researching problems with existing loans. Must be able to communicate effectively with members, loan officers and attorneys. In processing, the individual must review documentation and obtain what is needed to clear the loan or to do the closing package. This position is responsible for teller activity on members' accounts, withdrawing checks from general ledger accounts for various fees, and at times, doing accounts payable for the department expenses. Specific Accountabilities Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external partners that meets or exceeds our Service Promises Meet or exceed established sales and service goals Must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union's products and services Generating or obtaining equity loan applications from various sources Order title work, property valuations, and flood certifications Complete accurate loan-closing packages in a timely manner, following guidelines and compliance procedures for 16 states Coordinate simultaneous closings with outside lenders Coordinate attorney loan closings Send package to closing location Ensure recording of security instruments and filing of loan documents Ensure that Deeds of Trusts and Flood Certifications are cancelled for paid equity loans Responsible for quoting correct pay off information for all equity loans Setting up and servicing escrow accounts Ensure compliance with TRID, HMDA and other regulations Implementation and testing of new loan products and updates in the loan origination system and core system Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General understanding of real estate lending Knowledge of core systems Excellent computer skills and typing skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in several computer programs Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to perform professionally and efficiently Exceptional attention to detail with willingness to further knowledge Excellent problem solving skills Working within a team based environment with multiple departments, financial centers and outside vendors
