Position Overview The Loan Servicer will play a key role in supporting our Loan Originators by supporting the full loan lifecycle from origination through post-close. Serving as a key partner to the Loan Originator, you will help ensure loans move efficiently and seamlessly through each stage of the process. This position requires a blend of strong communication skills and attention-to-detail along with knowledge of the loan structuring process. The Loan Servicer will serve as a central liaison between borrowers, internal departments (Investment Team, Accounting, Operations/Compliance, and Investor Relations) and third-party stakeholders to ensure an effective loan management process for all stakeholders. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities Due Diligence (DD)
Checklist Management:
Acting as a closing coordinator, this role ensures that all due diligence checklist items are fully completed prior to transaction milestones. This includes managing borrower correspondence, coordinating with internal teams, and communicating with sponsors to drive items to completion. The individual will also independently handle specific components of the due diligence process, such as insurance review, where applicable.Closing / Payoff
/Refinance Coordination:
This role serves as the central point of coordination for all closing, payoff, and refinance activities. Responsibilities include organizing and verifying all required documentation, ensuring leverage providers have complete loan files (including original documents, signature pages, and organizational agreements), and maintaining detailed checklists to ensure readiness ahead of each transaction event.Tickler & Insurance Coordination:
This role is responsible for managing ticklers and monitoring ongoing insurance requirements across the loan portfolio, ensuring all policies remain compliant and up to date. The individual will coordinate directly with leverage providers to address compliance matters, track updates, and resolve any outstanding insurance-related items in a timely manner.Data Request Management:
The position manages and fulfills both recurring and ad hoc data requests from various stakeholders. This includes maintaining shared files, responding to leverage provider document requests, and supporting investor relations inquiries with accurate and timely information.Critical Loan Date Tracking:
The individual is responsible for tracking and proactively managing all critical loan dates to ensure compliance and avoid lapses. This includes monitoring loan maturity dates, extension notice deadlines, interest reserve replenishment requirements, construction completion timelines, and minimum reserve balance thresholds, while ensuring all obligations are met in advance of deadlines. Education and Experience- Strong attention-to-detail is a must as the role involves managing complex data, monitoring compliance requirements, and ensuring accuracy across loan records and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in loan servicing, asset management, banking operations, or a similar function.
- Ability to proactively problem-solve, communicate and coordinate cross-functional across internal teams as well as borrowers, lenders and third-party providers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, given the need to track multiple loans, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Compensation This position requires full-time in-office work to ensure the appropriate collaboration and integration with the originations team.
