Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Financial Relationship Partner is responsible for providing exceptional member service while assisting members and non-members with their financial needs. This role includes processing transactions, opening and maintaining accounts, loan processing and disbursal, resolving account issues, and identifying opportunities to recommend products and services that best fit member needs. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, sales-minded, and passionate about building strong member relationships while delivering accurate and efficient service in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome members in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner. Represent the credit union professionally while providing prompt, accurate, and efficient member service. Assist members in person and by telephone with questions regarding products, services, procedures, and policies. Resolve member concerns and account issues or direct members to the appropriate department for assistance. Build and strengthen member relationships through outbound calls and follow-up communication. Open and maintain consumer accounts, IRA accounts, and loan accounts. Collect and maintain new account files and related documentation. Process member transactions including transfers, loan payments, check requests, CD transactions, line of credit advances, and other account service requests. Recommend and cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations. Research and resolve account discrepancies involving deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Assist members with opening and maintaining Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). Review and evaluate the creditworthiness of loan applicants. Analyze credit reports, payment histories, and financial obligations while investigating derogatory credit. Evaluate applicant income, income trends, and ability to repay financial obligations. Maintain awareness of changes within the lending industry including regulations, technology, and consumer trends. May disburse approved loans while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Meet established individual and team performance goals. Process and mail adverse action notices. Inform supervisor of operational needs, concerns, or issues as they arise. Utilize Excel spreadsheets and other tools to track performance. Assist with auditing loan files. Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of experience in a credit union, bank, finance company, or savings and loan institution. Previous CU•Answers system experience is preferred.Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to follow ethical standards, exercise sound judgment, and maintain safe and sound practices. Experience using loan processing systems and personal computer applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present information professionally, persuasively, and effectively to internal and external individuals. Ability to read, understand, and interpret lending policies and regulations including Regulation Z and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to manage and resolve problems involving variable situations. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday.Benefits:
