Opportunity :

AFIC is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to join its growing Servicing Department in El Paso, Texas. This position plays a critical role in maintaining borrower relationships, ensuring regulatory and operational compliance, and supporting the accurate administration of the company's loan portfolio. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced environment where responsibilities include loan servicing, collections, escrow administration, borrower relations, and operational support. "The Loan Servicing Specialist job can be remote for the right person and also has an additional location in Austin, TX."

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, responding to inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
• Process loan payments, maintain accurate loan records, and update servicing information within company systems.
• Monitor loan performance, perform collection activities, and prepare borrower communications, including welcome letters, payment reminders, and delinquency notices.
• Onboard new loans, maintain servicing files, generate payoff statements and reports, and assist with portfolio transfers.
• Administer escrow accounts, including insurance and property tax disbursements, reconciliations, and related recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, collection agencies, and other third parties regarding defaulted loans and legal matters.
• Maintain electronic and physical loan files and assist with general office administration, accounts payable, and executive support as needed.
• Assist with servicing procedures, reporting, process improvements, and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Bilingual (Written and Conversational) - English & Spanish
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Good punctuality and attendance to work
• Experience with loan servicing or mortgage servicing software (preferably The Mortgage Office)
