Special Assets Analyst/Officer

Position Summary Administrative duties related to the special servicing of a portfolio of SBA 7(a), PPP, 504 and Conventional real-estate secured loans. Location Laguna Hills, CA / Hybrid-Remote Essential Job Functions Responsible for managing a portfolio of problem loans. Utilizes a high degree of independence in managing a large portfolio of a diverse and complex nature. Works in a team environment developing and recommending strategies to maximize recovery and reduce losses. Works closely with borrower and attorneys to review and restructure credits with the goal to secure repayment terms, verify and secure additional collateral, attain an equity position or charge-off the loan as appropriate. Actively monitor and liquidate problem loans. Maintains awareness of current collection and lending laws for all types of loans. Experience with foreclosure, court, out of court restructuring (working knowledge of bankruptcy and bankruptcy code a plus). Knowledge of SBA SOP Experience with preparing litigation, universal purchase packages, wrap up reports. Education/Experience 0-3 years of experience in banking or lending with specific experience in commercial, SBA preferred. 0-3 years of SBA workout and liquidation experience preferred. Experience with Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies preferred. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Four-year college degree preferred, or 2 years of college education plus 1 year of full-time work experience, preferably in SBA special servicing.
