Job Description

Job Description Summary Under general supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to process small business loans and prepare settlement documents. Responds to inquiries, processes, balances and reconciles client and lender positions. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information and to identify, research, and resolve problems. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtains required documentation and processes all small business loan packages. Inputs loan data into settlement and SBA systems for setup and activation. Coordinates settlements with customers for purchase of SBA loans. Prepares settlement packages for funding. Prepares monthly loan certificate inventory. Processes and posts all SBA loan principal and interest payments. Processes and posts loan payoffs. Balances SBA loan transfer fees. Perform Reconciliation for P & I payments between the investors and originator. Customer service liaison for safekeeping accounts. Escalates more complex service issues to seasoned associates. Performs analysis for safekeeping statements. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge of Basic technical concepts, practices and procedures of small business loan documentation and processing. Fundamental principles of banking and finance. Financial markets and products. SBA Underwriting guidelines and regulations. Federal and State lending laws. Loan software packages. Skill in Processing the loan packages. Verifying loan packages and supporting documents. Preparing loan settlement packages. Performing loan calculations. Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel. Mass communication distributions. Ability to Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from loan package documents. Interpret and apply policies. Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Work independently. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Maintain currency in loan processing policies and procedures. Education/Previous Experience Associate's Degree and one (1) to three (3) years of small business loan processing experience. ~or~ An equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Education High School (HS) (Required) Work Experience General Experience - 13 months to 3 years Certifications Travel Less than 25% Workstyle Resident The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
