Job Description
Overview We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of lending products, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves guiding clients through the loan process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating smooth loan origination and processing. Duties Originate and process consumer loans, including pre-qualification, application, underwriting support, and closing coordination Conduct credit analysis and evaluate borrower financial information Assist clients with understanding loan options, explaining terms Perform basic math calculations accurately for loan qualification assessments using 10 key typing skills and math proficiency Stay informed about industry changes related to banking and credit analysis practices Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to facilitate efficient loan approval processes Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the loan lifecycle Experience Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial sales role is preferred Knowledge of consumer lending origination, processing, underwriting, and servicing processes is highly desirable Excellent customer service abilities are necessary for success in this role Basic math skills including 10 key typing proficiency are important for accurate data entry and calculations Experience working within the banking or financial services industry will be considered an asset This position offers an opportunity to grow within a team dedicated to helping clients achieve their personal financial goals.
