Monday - Friday | Full-Time About the Company Our client is a leading international freight forwarding and logistics provider specializing in air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and transportation services. They are seeking an experienced Import/Export Operations Agent to support their growing operations team. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Operations Agent with hands-on experience managing international air and ocean shipments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding operations and be proficient in CargoWise and eFreight software. This role is responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, maintaining compliance with international shipping regulations, preparing documentation, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate international air and ocean import/export shipments from booking through final delivery. Process and manage shipments utilizing CargoWise and eFreight software. Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Arrival Notices, AES filings, and other import/export documentation. Track and trace shipments and provide proactive status updates to customers and overseas partners. Coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and overseas agents. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements. Monitor shipment milestones and resolve transportation, documentation, or customs-related issues. Maintain accurate shipment records and data entry within CargoWise and eFreight. Review freight charges, vendor invoices, and operational costs for accuracy. Support customer inquiries and provide exceptional service throughout the shipment process. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of freight forwarding, import/export, or logistics operations experience. Required experience with CargoWise and eFreight software. Experience handling both air freight and ocean freight shipments. Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and international shipping procedures. Familiarity with Customs regulations, ISF filings, AES filings, and freight forwarding operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications NVOCC or freight forwarding experience. Experience working with international agents and carriers. Knowledge of customs brokerage procedures. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
