Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Air Import Operations Specialist to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import process for air freight shipments, ensuring seamless coordination between carriers, customs authorities, and clients. Your expertise in transportation management, supply chain operations, and customer relationship management will drive efficiency and excellence in our air import services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment while developing your skills in freight forwarding, contract negotiation, and transportation planning. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage air import shipments from booking through final delivery. Communicate with overseas agents, airlines, customers, carriers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution. Prepare, review, and maintain import and shipping documentation, including HAWB, MAWB, bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs declarations, and other customs-related paperwork. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company procedures, and transportation requirements. Track and trace shipments using systems such as GoFreight, maintain accurate shipment records, and provide timely updates to customers. Handle billing, invoicing, freight cost control, and transportation expense management. Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, claims, and other operational issues promptly and efficiently. Negotiate rates, service agreements, and transportation solutions with carriers and logistics providers to optimize cost and service performance. Coordinate transportation schedules and dispatch activities to support timely cargo movement and delivery. Collaborate with the sales team to support customer development and identify logistics opportunities related to air import services. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and high-quality customer service. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in air import operations Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
