Import/Export Clerk LogiAide San Diego, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $19 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Customs regulations compliance Spanish Customer communication Customer service English Organizational skills Leadership International trade regulations Negotiation Time management Full Job Description Main task is to provide efficient delivery logistics through data management. They fill out import-export documentation, compile carrier and route assignments, compute international fees for each shipment, and keep track of shipment payments and quotas. Responsibilities Information request for the elaboration of procedures Follow up with clients Monitoring of crossings within the system Sending documents to delivery Process and review documentation for CBP transmissions Ensure that all documents are complete and conforms to corporate policies and Import / Export regulations. Keeping customers in constant communication with important issues that may / are impacting their shipments. Filings of ISF and Customs Clearance with Customs Brokers in a timely manner. Skills and Experience U.S. Customs Brokers License or Certified Customs Specialist (preferred) Bachelor's degree (preferred) plus 2 years of experience Excellent team-building skills and ability to work independently Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter Ability to work with demanding deadlines in a high-pressure environment Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and effective time management. Demonstrated indirect leadership skills Strong problem solving and time management skills Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English and Spanish Ability to analyze information - orders, customers, vendors, pricing, and credit terms Experienced in use of computer, MS office applications & SAP or equivalent ERP system, e-learning development a plus An import-export coordinator must have customer service and negotiation skills to deal with the demands of overseas and local clients. They must be familiar with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting shipments, as well as their company's internal procedures.
