This rol manages import activities, oversees customs clearance processes, and serves as the internal expert on trade compliance to minimize risk, controlling duty exposure, and preventing shipment delays. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit customs entries (e.g.,entry summaries, ISF filings and post-entry processes) accurately and on time. . Ensure compliance with all CBP regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements. . Classify our products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS). . Determine duty rates, admissibility, and applicable trade programs (e.g. duty drawback, IEEPA refunds). . Act as liaison between CBP, freight forwarders, goverment agencies, and internal departments. . Review commercial documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, steel declaration) for accuracy and compliance. . Monitor and respond to CBP inquiries, audits, and post-summary corrections. . Maintain complete import records in accordance with regulatory requirments (5 years) . Provide guidance an training to internal teams (purchasing, logistics, finance) on trade compliance best pratices. . Support FTZ and export compliance activities as needed (AES filings,ECCN classification) Qualifications . Active U.S. Customs Broker License . 5+ years of expertise in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or import/export operations . Deep knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, ACE system, and import process.

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
