Our expert team helps clients uncover opportunities to reduce costs, accelerate supply chain cycles, minimize duties, and strengthen both visibility and security. From pre-shipment planning to post-entry audits, we specialize in solving the challenges that arise before and after cargo moves.
Our core services include HTS classification, duty drawback, reconciliation, compliance assessments, duty recovery, and C-TPAT/supply chain security implementation.

Job DescriptionTradewin is looking for an initiative-taking person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional and dynamic work environment to fill a key role in our US Export Trade Advisory Services Department. We are looking for someone with a natural curiosity and a passion for exploring emerging technologies across different disciplines. We value candidates who are enthusiastic about learning about technology and science in multiple domains. This is an office position located in Romulus, MI and will initially require a standard 8 AM - 5 PM schedule, with the opportunity to change to a later 11 am to 8 PM west coast coverage schedule. An Export Consultant can perform a variety of functions within our group, including: Perform ECCN classification and license determination servicesMake Commodity Jurisdiction determinationsDraft Commodity Classification Requests (CCRs) and License Applications in SNAP-R on behalf of clientPerform USML Classification and DOS License determination servicesPerform US Export Compliance Risk Assessments at client facilityDraft Policy and Procedure ManualsPerform Restricted Party ScreeningPerform EEI File AuditsPerform analysis of client's AES Data for preparation of "Trade Account Profile" ReportsFacilitate training and/or seminars both internally and externally as a subject matter expert.
Prepare statements/opinion memos on a variety of export compliance topics as requested by the clientPrepare proposals addressing Export Compliance and related topicsParticipate in sales/retention calls addressing Export Compliance and related topicsProvide timely and accurate monthly billing summary to Tradewin AdminMaintain complete and accurate records on client projectsActively review regulatory updates in the areas of Export ComplianceParticipate in improving and documenting internal processesParticipate in continuous improvement of existing products, as well as development of new productsContribute as both a trainer and trainee in Tradewin's cross-training initiativesCommunicate professionally with both internal and external customers in written and verbal formQualificationsStrong interest in emerging technologyDemonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skillsCompetent PC skills, including all Microsoft Office applications. The applicant MUST be comfortable reviewing, analyzing, and manipulating data in Excel. Power BI, MS Access, or SharePoint experience desired.
