As an Ocean Import Booking Representative, for Laufer Group International you'll be at the center of global trade, driving the execution of international ocean shipments that keep supply chains moving. This role is critical to ensuring on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across complex, fast-paced logistics networks. AMS, ISF, ACI
(Canada), AFR (Japan), and global shipping regulations Proactively track and manage shipment milestones (gate-in/out, loaded, departures) and resolve exceptions in real time Monitor transshipments and sailing schedules, communicating delays and solutions to clients and internal teams Issue booking confirmations, loading updates, and revisions with precision and urgency Partner cross-functionally with documentation, operations, sales, and global agents to ensure seamless execution Act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, providing guidance on routing, pricing, and logistics strategy What we are looking for: Some experience in ocean freight forwarding, international logistics, or supply chain operations Ability to manage high-volume shipments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills and confidence working with global teams and clients Sharp attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and execution Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office tools Knowledge of global shipping routes, ocean carriers, and freight forwarding processes Working understanding of import/export compliance (AMS, ISF, customs requirements) A proactive, problem-solving mindset Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred Where you'll be: 11500 N Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153 Please click here for information on the privacy policy for California residents. olRcHA6ZBQ
