Job description Royal Customs Brokers, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Customs Broker in our successful International Division! One would assist with accuracy and timely movement of custom entry information.
Key Responsibilities:
Handles the transmission and clearance to US Customs, confirming all necessary data and documents are available for entry. Quoting, account creation, SOP responsibility Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from the time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo. Works with all documents related to client requirements that are needed for a US Customs Entry, but not limited to, Customs bond, audit instructions, and billing packets in accordance with client instructions and company policies. Process entry details and verify for compliance data related to calculation of duties, duty policy, Participating Government Agencies, trade agreements, prior notice, or any specific requests by Customs for the proper filing for release. Daily monitor the release and follow up on all ABI/AMS messages including rejects, holds, and exam messages, working with government personnel to ensure timely release of cargo. Invoicing for your files into the system and create client billing packet and other tasks as assigned. Help other team members in sister departments when needed (Freight Forwarding). Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions Increase customer satisfaction and business share through regular contact (i.e., phone, email, possible visits) Generate, file, and maintain up-to-date customer records, reports, shipment documentation, etc.. Collaborate with coworkers, international third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service, and continued customer relationship development. Understand and manage the financial details of shipments for the proper billing of customers. Apply industry knowledge and critical-thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally. Skills /
Requirements:
Customs Brokers License •a must have 2-4 years' experience with Customs Entries Strong Understanding of Import/Export regulations and documents. Need to be able to work, communicate, and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product into/out of the US Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required, some customer service A quick learner with a "Can-Do" attitude and strong prioritization skills Exceptional customer service skills Strong computer skills (Excel, Word) In addition, we offer the following: Benefits and programs to help you manage your time at and away at work to achieve a healthy work/life balance.
