This role combines customer service, buying and brokering metals, and ensuring compliance with safe-storage and transaction procedures. If you enjoy working with people, handling transparent transactions, and paying attention to the details, this is a great fit for you. We are specifically looking for someone available to work Tuesdays through Saturdays (10am - 6pm). Key Responsibilities Buy and broker precious metals (gold, silver, coins, bullion) with accuracy and professionalism. Accurately evaluate items based on weight, purity, and market pricing. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients feel informed and respected during each transaction. Handle cash transactions confidently and accurately. Maintain compliance with all safe-storage, transaction, and record-keeping procedures and laws. Prepare and process documentation, including receipts, inventory logs, and compliance forms. Support daily shop operations, including inventory organization, basic data entry, and maintaining a clean and secure workspace. Requirements We're looking for someone who brings strong customer-facing experience, reliability, and solid people skills. The essentials for this role include: Strong customer service background. Basic typing and computer proficiency (entering transaction data, updating logs, etc.). Ability to count and handle cash accurately and confidently. Comfort working in a compliance-driven environment with clear procedures and legal regulations. High attention to detail and strong personal integrity. Willingness to complete a background check. Not required, but especially welcome: Experience in jewelry, coin shops, pawnbroking, finance, or related fields. Knowledge of precious metals, appraisal, or commodities markets. Can fluently speak a language other than English. Experience in social media or digital marketing, graphic design, business development, or other skills.
