Job Description Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm Universal Logistics USA Inc is hiring for an Ocean Air Customs Operations position at our Buffalo, NY office. We are a family-owned U S Customs Broker that values customer service-oriented people. We are a growing company, and as we grow, we can offer our employees opportunities for advancement. This position will be a hybrid remote position (once the 3-month training is complete). Job Responsibilities Process shipments of goods imported to the U S, in a manner that ensures compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) regulations as required. Transmit data electronically to
CBP & PGA
based on documents received from Ocean/Air carriers. Interact with clients and carriers to ensure import release of the client's goods. Job Description Comfortable working with large, complex importers Strong experience with import transportation to the US Process Customs entries and ISF filings Knowledge of Participating Government Agencies (PGA) regulations. Comfortable working in a team-focused environment Self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm Creative thinker with competitive desire to meet and exceed customer expectations Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment Possess a working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Possess an analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports and correspondence We provide Comprehensive training Competitive remuneration Medical, Dental & Supplementary Health coverage (employee contribution required) Paid holiday, sick and vacation time Qualifications 1 - 2 years employment within the industry; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Knowledge of Cargo Wise is an asset Keyboarding skills Ability to handle large volumes of work accurately; Strong organizational skills; Strong problem-solving ability; Ability to work independently; Ability to prioritize work & time management skills; Ability to work effectively in a team environment; Effective communication skills
