Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Import Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Greer, SC. This role is ideal for an import operations professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced customs brokerage environment, supporting clients, coordinating documentation, and helping ensure imported goods move through the clearance process accurately and efficiently. As an Import Associate, you will serve as an important point of contact for assigned clients while partnering with customs brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal logistics teams. This opportunity offers the chance to work with experienced import/export professionals in a collaborative team setting where accuracy, communication, and customer service are highly valued.   • Serve as a primary contact for assigned clients, providing import shipment updates, answering questions, and supporting strong client relationships.
  • Review import documentation such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the customs clearance process by coordinating with clients, customs authorities, carriers, vendors, and internal brokerage team members.
  • Handle billing responsibilities, including client invoicing, agent billing, and vendor payment review according to company procedures.
  • Resolve import-related issues such as customs delays, documentation discrepancies, transportation concerns, and compliance questions.
  • Maintain shipment notes, support reporting needs, and contribute to SOP updates, process improvements, and team knowledge sharing. Compensation and Benefits
