International Freight Forwarding (Ocean & Air) Role Overview The Agency Network Development Manager - FAK (Freight All Kinds) is responsible for the strategic development, performance, and expansion of Sealink's global agency network, with a primary focus on FAK (except recyclables) ocean programs and complementary air freight services. This role owns the commercial alignment, effectiveness, and scalability of agent partnerships across key global trade lanes. The role serves as a senior commercial liaison between Sealink, overseas agents, and carriers, ensuring FAK structures are competitive, operationally viable, and aligned with long-term trade-lane and growth strategies. Success in this position requires deep freight forwarding expertise, strong relationship, leadership and sound commercial judgement to drive network consistency, margin discipline and sustainable growth. This is a full-time, in-office role. Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Agency Network Strategy & Development Define, develop, and execute strategies to strengthen and expand Sealink's global agency network across priority trade lanes. Lead the selection, onboarding, alignment, and ongoing performance management of international agency partners. Establish, and enforce, clear commercial, service, and responsiveness standards across the agent network. Identify opportunities to consolidate, upgrade, or diversify agent representation to support long-term network, and growth, objectives. FAK Program Ownership & Governance Lead the development, rollout, and governance of ocean pricing programs across assigned trade lanes. Ensure pricing structures are competitive, clearly defined, and consistently applied across the global agent network. Manage pricing - related RFQs, tenders, and contract negotiations in coordination with agents and carriers. Oversee rate validity, renewal cycles, and market-driven adjustments to maintain pricing integrity and margin discipline. Trade Lane & Commercial Leadership Lead trade-lane development initiatives by aligning agent capabilities, carrier options, and market demand. Partner closely with Sales and Operations leadership to ensure agency and pricing offerings support customer growth and service expectations. Analyze trade-lane performance, volumes, and margins to inform network and pricing decisions. Agent Performance & Relationship Management Serve as the senior escalation point for agent-related commercial, pricing, or service issues. Conduct regular performance reviews with key agents, focusing on service levels, pricing reliability, and commercial results. Build and maintain long-term, trust-based agent relationships that drive collaboration, transparency, and mutual growth. Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Ensure accurate maintenance of agent, pricing surcharge, and service data within GAMA and other related systems. Develop and refine processes for agent coordination, program updates, and pricing governance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence Provide guidance, direction, and subject-matter expertise to Specialists and Coordinators supporting agency and pricing functions. Serve as a key internal advisor on agency strategy, program structure and trade-lane opportunities. Support acquisition integration and network alignment initiatives as required. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience Extensive experience in international freight forwarding with direct responsibility for agency networks and ocean and air pricing programs. Work knowledge of incoterms, commodity groupings, exclusions, and surcharge structures. Proven success managing international agent relationships and trade-lane strategies. Demonstrated commercial leadership with the ability to balance competitiveness, margin, and operational feasibility. Established, and verifiable, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in freight management and pricing systems (e.g., GAMA, CARGO WISE).
