Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field who is ready to kick-start their career in customs operations and international trade compliance. As a Customs Brokerage Specialist, you will assist in managing the documentation and regulatory requirements involved in importing and exporting goods. You'll play a key role in ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit accurate import documentation to U.S. Customs and other government agencies Monitor the clearance process to ensure timely release of shipments Communicate with customs officers, carriers, clients, and internal teams to resolve any documentation or compliance issues Ensure all entries comply with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Track shipments and proactively address any delays or discrepancies Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices Support audits and assist in compiling records and reports as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with warehousing, transportation, and customer service teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field. Not required but would be a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of data/documents Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus Prior internship or coursework related to customs, international trade, or logistics is a bonus but not required
