Job Description:
As an International Operations Agent, you will be operationally responsible for managing all aspects of international air and ocean shipments from start to finish. This includes booking shipments, coordinating with overseas agents, customer communication, exception management, and cradle-to-grave tracking of freight. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing professional service and timely, accurate updates. You'll work closely with Omni's US offices and global partners to deliver seamless logistics solutions. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide professional customer service for international clients Generate accurate and competitive air freight quotes for import and export movements Support ocean freight operations as needed, including coordination, tracking, and documentation Create and execute international shipment files from cradle to grave Maintain strong vendor relationships and support development efforts Prepare and submit client reports Invoice for services rendered and reconcile agent profit shares Maintain consistent communication with Omni's US offices and global agents Collaborate with other departments to ensure exceptional service delivery Handle exception reporting and communicate updates to Sales and Management Perform additional duties as assigned by managementJob Requirements & Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required 2+ years of freight forwarding experience in import/export required College degree or equivalent experience preferred Strong knowledge of international shipping operations (air & ocean) Experience with Cargo-Wise is a plus Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Comfortable working under tight deadlines Positive attitude, hardworking, and committed to following instructions Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-KK1 #LI-Onsite Since 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
