Job Description:
Air Freight Manager Houston, TX | $100,000 - $150,000 | On-site A growing international freight forwarder in Houston is looking for an air freight manager to run its air desk, covering both export and import. You would manage the coordinators, handle the airline relationships and carry responsibility for the gateway margin. Day to day Run the air export and import operation across the Houston gateway. Lead the coordinator team, including hiring and training. Negotiate rates and allocations with airlines and co-loaders, and keep gross profit on track. Make sure dangerous goods, TSA security and customs are handled correctly on every shipment. You'll fit if You have at least 5 years in air freight forwarding, including time managing a desk or team. You know IATA, dangerous goods (DGR) and air export controls well. You have your own airline and co-loader contacts in Houston. Experience with CargoWise would help. On offer $100,000 to $150,000 base, depending on experience. Medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. This is a confidential search handled through us.
