$171,288.00 - $201,448.00

TELEWORK/ON-SITE OPPORTUNITY
The job classification of Accounting and Fiscal Services Director is eligible for a limited combination of telework and on-site work assignments after 6 months of employment for employees who are in good standing. Telework must be completed from a pre-designated home-based location within the State of California, and employees may be required to report on-site to address business needs. Telework is at the sole discretion of the Court and may be rescinded with 48 hours' notice, based on the needs of the Orange County Superior Court.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Accounting and Fiscal Services Director directs, manages, oversees, and supervises a wide range of programs and activities within Accounting and Fiscal Services unit which includes General Accounting (e.g. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting and Audits, Payroll, and Alternate Defense) and Fiscal Services (e.g. Financial Processing & Audits, Trust Accounting, and Escheatment). The incumbent has responsibility over policy administration, personnel management, program management, cash control, budget and administration within their assigned area. The Accounting and Fiscal Services Director coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies and other stakeholders while providing highly responsible and complete professional support to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. The incumbent also performs related tasks within area of assignment. The Accounting and Finance Services Director is a single level professional classification reporting to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This classification is at the journey level and performs all related management functions in support of general accounting and fiscal services. ACCOUNTING AND FISCAL SERVICES DIRECTOR REQUIRED EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, public administration, economics, accounting, or a closely related financial field. •

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Seven (7) years of professional experience in public finance, accounting, cash management, banking, financial analysis, policy development, and financial administration, including five (5) years of direct supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
A master's degree in business administration, finance, public administration, economics, accounting, or a closely related financial field may substitute for one (1) year of required experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
California trial court finance and budget experience. Experience successfully implementing several significant multi-agency projects/initiatives. Possession of a valid Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification is highly preferred. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in business administration, finance, public administration, economics, accounting, or a closely related financial field is highly desirable. Availability to periodically work evenings and weekends, if needed.
