The VP, Finance Systems & Solutions is a key member of the Accounting Controllership organization responsible for supporting and continuously improving financial systems and reporting capabilities, including BlackLine, Oracle ERP, and related applications. The role partners with Accounting and Finance teams to enhance processes through effective use of accounting technology, data analytics, and automation solutions to drive operational efficiency and enrich reporting quality. This role is centered on driving process optimization within the accounting and finance functions through thoughtful automation, enhanced reporting, and effective use of accounting technology. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with practical systems experience and leverages data and emerging AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency. Systems administration and platform support are key components of the role, ensuring financial applications operate reliably and continuing to evolve alongside business needs. This position partners closely with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, IT, Operations, and Internal Audit to ensure systems operate effectively, controls are maintained, and reporting needs are met. Automation, AI, Data & Process Optimization Contribute to Finance execution of automation, AI, and data initiatives across accounting operations, close, and reporting processes. Drive adoption of process and workflow automation, through use of available low-code tools and process reconfiguration to reduce manual effort and improve scalability. Research and identify potential AI use cases, driving AI fluency across Controllership. Drive Controllership analytics and reporting environment, including dashboards and KPIs that provide visibility into close status, reconciliations, and operational performance. Partner with Accounting leadership and process owners to identify inefficiencies and deliver finance system, automation and AI-enabled opportunities. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and drive improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, and decision-making. Leadership & Influence Serve as a key leader within the Controllership organization by driving adoption of technology, automation, and data-driven practices across accounting teams. Enable and educate accounting staff on available tools, technologies, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital fluency. Provide hands-on guidance and support to teams in implementing automation solutions, improving workflows, and leveraging reporting and analytics tools. Act as a trusted advisor to accounting leadership on technology strategy, process optimization, and data utilization. Promote standardization and knowledge sharing across teams to reduce key-person dependencies and improve scalability. Support the development of internal capabilities in reporting, automation, and data analysis, helping elevate the overall effectiveness of the Controllership function. Cross-Functional Partnership Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the Controllership team, Financial Reporting, Treasury, FP&A, and IT Finance Systems teams. Partner with IT to ensure alignment and support on infrastructure, security, system access, and platform performance. Collaborate cross-functionally to support enterprise system implementations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. Communicate proactively with senior leadership regarding system performance, risks, audit matters, and transformation initiatives. Follow all established policies and procedures. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. WHAT YOU'LL BRING
6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within banking or financial services. 4+ years of experience in systems analysis role or application administration/development. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Proficiency in financial systems including Oracle Fusion ERP and BlackLine (or similar financial reconciliation system) a plus. Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, Power Query, and data analysis techniques. Experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as Power BI, Business Objects, SmartView, and Alteryx. Experience with AI tools (I.e., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) Strong understanding of banking deposit and loan operations a plus. Proven track record of driving technology and process improvements, resulting in greater efficiency and streamlined operations. Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.8-10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within banking or financial services. HOW WE'LL SUPPORT YOU
