Job Description

Salary:
$90,000-$115,000 DOE | Full-Time | Exempt The Town of Carbondale is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Controller to join our Finance Department. This key leadership position oversees payroll administration, accounts receivable billing, revenue reconciliation, and supports the town's accounting operations, including monthly financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and audit preparation. The Controller also serves as a backup for critical finance functions and works closely with Human Resources on payroll and employee administration. We're looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) or three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Municipal accounting and payroll experience are preferred but not required.
