Director of Corporate Accounting

Greenwich, CT Full-time About the Role Taurus is partnering with a boutique insurance organization focused in annuities to help find a Director level accounting professional to work directly with senior executives. This is a newly created accounting function that will own all non-investment related accounting and finance functions.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a team of two employees Manage and oversee the accounting for policyholder premiums, transactions,witholdings and taxes GL Accounting and managing transactional work Bank reconciliations and recordkeeping within systems Accounting oversight for 1099s and premium taxes, along with other tax reporting work with internal teams Expense management and budgeting Vendor management Key projects for system and automation improvement

Requirements:

7-15 years of experience Previous experience in a management function required Experience in the insurance or financial services sector CPA preferred
