Boca Raton, FL Leading global private markets fund administration platform servicing institutional investment managers across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital, and other alternative investment strategies. The firm partners with many of the industry's leading sponsors and provides fund accounting, investor reporting, operational infrastructure, and fund administration solutions across complex investment structures. Job Title Fund Accounting Director - Private Equity / Credit Funds Position Summary A leading alternative investment services platform is seeking a Fund Accounting Director to oversee accounting operations and client relationships for private equity and credit-focused investment funds. This role offers broad exposure to the full private equity fund lifecycle, including complex fund structures, investor reporting, waterfalls, and fund operations, while also providing leadership responsibility across multiple accounting teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical fund accounting expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to manage sophisticated client relationships in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Fund Accounting & Operations Direct day-to-day accounting and fund administration activities across multiple investment funds Oversee preparation and review of: Financial statements Capital calls Distributions Investor allocations Waterfall calculations IRR reporting Review accruals, investment activity, and complex fund accounting workpapers Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and executive stakeholders Maintain relationships with: Auditors Legal counsel Banking partners Internal teams Lead client meetings and provide ongoing operational support and guidance Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams across multiple levels Review and approve accounting deliverables prior to senior leadership review Support training, development, and operational best practices Fund Structures & Technical Accounting Interpret and apply provisions within: Partnership agreements Governing documents Investment agreements Support accounting across complex structures including: Credit funds Mezzanine investments Loan origination strategies Alternative investment vehicles Process Improvement & Special Projects Drive operational improvements and process enhancements Participate in fund launches, onboarding initiatives, and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field 7+ years of experience in: Private equity fund accounting Fund administration Alternative investment accounting 5+ years of supervisory or management experience Strong understanding of: Partnership accounting Waterfalls and investor allocations Capital calls and distributions
U.S. GAAP
investment company reporting Experience with: Credit funds Mezzanine investments Loan origination structures preferred Comfortable with: PIK/OID calculations Complex fund structures and governing documents Strong Excel and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
