Job Description

Company Overview Work in the #1 Community in the USA! Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club is seeking a full-time Club Controller. A 2,300-acre 1,170 home private lakefront community featuring a 100-seat lakeside bar and grill, full service pool side food and beverage, a 150-seat fine dining restaurant, In-door / out-door lounge and private events space the club generates approximately $3.6 million in annual food and beverage revenues. Other features include; Concierge and Home Watch services, Fitness Center, Spa, Salon, Tennis, Pickleball and Bocce Ball courts, two marinas, three miles of white sand beaches and a Botanical Garden. Overview The Controller at Miromar Lakes Beach Club oversees financial operations, membership management, and reporting for both the Golf and Beach Club divisions. Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all accounting functions for the Beach and Golf Clubs.
  • Ensure timely closing of books monthly, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with invoice processing including verification and account coding approval with outside payables processor.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll information provided by departmental managers for processing by outside payroll processor.
  • Analytical review and approval of supporting periodic reports produced by operational departments for inclusion in the accounting records.
  • Oversee accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
  • Maintain membership accounts, billing, and financial records.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to club leadership.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for club operations.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
  • Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Recommend process improvements for financial operations.
  • All other accounting and management responsibilities deemed necessary by the club general managers. Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Northstar club management software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of club accounting practices. Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in club or hospitality accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven track record managing multi-unit club financials. Work Guidelines

  • Respond promptly to member and management inquiries.
  • Uphold accuracy and attention to detail in all financial matters.
  • Meet with Beach and Golf Club managers monthly to review financials.
  • Advise management on membership revenue trends and opportunities.
  • Train, interact, manage and lead accounting staff.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
