Job Description

Director of Finance - must be an active CPA with Accounting experience to be considered.
Position Overview:
A leading, established regional behavioral health organization in North Florida is seeking an experienced accounting professional to serve as our Director of Finance . In this vital leadership role, you will apply your advanced accounting expertise to support comprehensive financial operations, including general accounting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong independent judgment, excels at analyzing complex financial data, and thrives in supporting program oversight. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial stewardship across all agency programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operational Supervision :
Oversee daily and monthly accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, deposits, and accounting system distributions/allocations.
Contract Management :
Collaborate directly with the CFO to manage organization contracts, associated billing, payments, and required reports.
Audit Preparation :
Manage tasks and fulfill requests from independent auditors to ensure the smooth completion of the annual audit report.
Compliance & Filings :
Coordinate with the CFO to maintain the schedule of all regulatory filing requirements and ensure strict compliance.
Fund Oversight :
Manage disbursements from client trust funds and approve the allocation of state funds for client needs.
Special Projects :
Serve on strategic workgroups and complete high-priority tasks assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications Education :
4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Experience :
Proven track record in a senior accounting or financial management role (experience in healthcare, non-profit, or state-funded environments is a plus).
Skills :
Exceptional data analysis skills, strong team leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance.
