The Iterative Health Site Network is a premier network of 100+ clinical research sites across the US and Europe, accelerating the path to market for novel therapies. By combining deep expertise in clinical trials with cutting-edge AI, we empower research teams and study sponsors to expand and expedite access to novel therapeutics for patients in need. We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Accounting to join our growing team, reporting to the VP Corporate Controller. In this role, you will manage the accounting team including AP and Payroll. This role will play a critical part in building and scaling the company's accounting department, overseeing the day to day operational accounting tasks including the month end close process.. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to drive significant impact as the company scales.
Responsibilities:
Lead Financial Month end
Close & Reporting :
Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Strategic Accounting Leadership :
Act as the in-house technical expert on revenue recognition, tax considerations, and critical accounting issues.
Audit:
Support the annual audit.
Systems Optimization :
Drive the continued integration and optimization of our NetSuite system to support our growing business, ensuring scalability and efficiency in financial operations.
Taxes:
Manage tax compliance supported by external partners.
Acquisition Support :
Support the integration, accounting and consolidation of the company acquisitions.
Required skills:
8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with at least 3 years at a Big 4 accounting firm. Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller or Director of Accounting Experience managing an accounting team. Deep knowledge of corporate accounting best practices including an advanced level understanding of revenue recognition rules. Excellent interpersonal skill, able to clearly and consistently communicate with senior leaders of the company. Skilled at enforcing budgets and maintaining tight financial controls across business units, products, and subsidiaries.
Preferred skills:
Experience with international subsidiaries and consolidation of financial statements. Familiarity with NetSuite.
