Director of Accounting

Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead complex technical accounting matters for a dynamic organization.

This role is ideal for an individual who can evaluate intricate transactions, develop well-supported accounting positions, and communicate recommendations clearly to senior leaders. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards, sound judgment, and the ability to manage high-impact projects independently while collaborating across functions. • At least 7 years of public accounting experience or comparable technical accounting experience, including work with large organizations and public companies.
• Strong background in researching and analyzing accounting treatment for complex and varied transactions.
• Demonstrated experience preparing technical accounting documentation and formal position papers based on authoritative guidance.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application to real-world business scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage responsibilities end-to-end, and deliver high-quality results.
• Experience preparing concise presentations and summaries for board-level or executive-level stakeholders.
• Ability to balance competing deadlines, build effective working relationships, and collaborate successfully in a team environment.
