Job Description
The person in this position ensures the timely and accurate maintenance of financial records in compliance with GASB standards and GAAP;will prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to top management; and demonstrate expertise in a variety of thefield's concepts, practices, and procedures. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried, FLSA exempt position covered by the Public SchoolRetirement System. Assist in periodic reporting to local, state, and/or federal entities by providing transaction details to the grantadministrators/facilitators. Prepare and maintain financial accounting transactions for MACC Endowments and Scholarship Funds inExcel. Prepare financial statements as needed for scholarship/endowment committees. Maintain monthly individual balances to include revenue,expenses, and interest earned, and investment activity gains/losses. Prepare and maintain financial accounting transactions forMACC Foundation and Alumni on QuickBooks. Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors as required. MaintainMACC investment activity records, to include U.S. Treasury Notes, CD's and Money Market transactions. Assist in MACC's annualfinancial audit by preparing schedules, confirmation letters, and special reports. Requires active participation in the annual field audit. Maintain annual fixed assets listing, including additions, deletions, and depreciation. Prepare periodic billings tothird parties, including MHPC agency fund. Prepare quarterly sales tax forms and payments. Assist in the preparation andinput of MACC's budgetary process, both annual and mid-year. Set up, maintain, and monitor MACC's annual budget. This includes budgetpermissions and the management of budget officers. Maintain MACC's Chart of Accounts, along with various assessment tables withinthe Jenzabar software. These tables drive student billing for tuition, SA/SS fees, technology fees, lab fees, course fees, clinical fees,etc. Perform periodic program reviews of selected instructional and administrative areas. Maintain master schedule and updateenrollment data and/or contract data as necessary. Prepare "Utility Data Analysis" twice per year for reporting to Board ofTrustees. Prepare quarterly "Bank Summary" report for Board of Trustees. Maintain external databases for reporting ofMACC's Health Plan and Flex Plan accounts. Provide second level backup for approving requisitions, checks, and other variousaccounting documents. Perform other duties assigned by the Vice President for Finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business and 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting/general ledger environment. Proficiency inMicrosoft office products, with advanced skills in Excel, and knowledge of GASB standards. Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.Job Responsibilities:
