Job Description
DESCRIPTION
Due to tremendous current and forecasted growth, we are adding an accomplished Accounting Director to our long-standing company in our facilities in SE PDX. We are a highly profitable firm, and you will be hands on in both your technical contributions and management/mentorship. This leader will be a critical part of our senior team contributing immediately as well as growing with our company.POSITION FOCUS
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team of accountants and specialists, providing guidance for professional development within the organization.
- Oversees all aspects of periodic closings including levels of hands-on involvement.
- Assumes full responsibility for the company Chart of Accounts.
- Works closely with the CEO to develop and monitor budgets optimally. Assumes all responsibilities for cash forecasting and banking/investment relationships.
- Coordinates with external auditors and leads CPA interactions for audits.
- Will foster a Continuous Improvement mindset for the team and department. Will be the primary driver and planner in process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts inventory and fixed assets analyses and valuations as part of financial assessments.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- Significant professional experience as a Controller/Finance Manager in a growing environment.
- Minimum of 9+ years of overall accounting and finance experience demonstrating progressive responsibility as well as management experience.
- A CPA certification is highly desired.
- Proficiency in inventory management is required.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel proficiency including v/h-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
Pay:
$155,000.00- $180,000.
