Job Description

DESCRIPTION
Due to tremendous current and forecasted growth, we are adding an accomplished Accounting Director to our long-standing company in our facilities in SE PDX. We are a highly profitable firm, and you will be hands on in both your technical contributions and management/mentorship. This leader will be a critical part of our senior team contributing immediately as well as growing with our company.
POSITION FOCUS
  • Manage and mentor a dedicated team of accountants and specialists, providing guidance for professional development within the organization.
  • Oversees all aspects of periodic closings including levels of hands-on involvement.
  • Assumes full responsibility for the company Chart of Accounts.
  • Works closely with the CEO to develop and monitor budgets optimally. Assumes all responsibilities for cash forecasting and banking/investment relationships.
  • Coordinates with external auditors and leads CPA interactions for audits.
  • Will foster a Continuous Improvement mindset for the team and department. Will be the primary driver and planner in process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts inventory and fixed assets analyses and valuations as part of financial assessments.
YOUR BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • Significant professional experience as a Controller/Finance Manager in a growing environment.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of overall accounting and finance experience demonstrating progressive responsibility as well as management experience.
  • A CPA certification is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in inventory management is required.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel proficiency including v/h-lookups, pivot tables, etc.

$155,000.00
