This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our growth and innovation and work with some of the leading professionals in the field. Job Description The Controller will serve as a key leader within BNP's global finance function, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple domestic and international entities. This role will partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership, lead a global team of accountants, and help scale accounting processes to support BNP's continued growth, including acquisition activity. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all BNP entities, including several international entities Lead treasury reporting to executive leadership and ownership Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
Consolidate financial results across domestic and international operations Analyze operating results and explain key accounting and financial trends and variances to leadership Accounting Operations Oversee general ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll accounting, domestic and foreign bank account functions Supervise and develop accounting team members Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and accurate revenue recognition, cost tracking, and project financial reporting Standardize and automate recurring monthly journal entries across BNP entities, including acquired companies Maintain and optimize accounting workflows within Deltek Vantagepoint Internal Controls & Compliance Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes Ensure compliance with U.S. and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements Lead the annual audit process for the BNP platform Support US and global tax compliance in coordination with external advisors Partner with the Director of HR to lead efforts to unify HR processes across acquisitions and international offices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management globally. Support change management and communication strategies to ensure smooth transitions. Global Operations Align accounting practices across multiple international locations Collaborate with external accounting partners in foreign jurisdictions Support global payroll, intercompany accounting, and multi-currency reporting Qualifications Required Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of progressive accounting, audit, or finance experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience leading accounting teams and managing period-end close processes Experience with industry-standard ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred) Preferred CPA or equivalent certification Experience in one or more of the following areas: Architecture, construction, engineering consulting, or project-based environments Multi-entity, multi-location, or international organizations Private equity-backed or high-growth company Big Four, national, or regional public accounting firm Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development capabilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on Effective communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders Process-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement Working Conditions We are ideally seeking candidates located in Denver, CO or New York, NY metro areas, though we encourage applications from exceptional candidates who are open to relocation. Hybrid work environment aligned with company policy Standard 40-hour work week with additional time as needed during close cycles and audits SALARY $150,000 - $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
