POSITION
Summary The Director of Corporate Accounting leads the company's general accounting operations, including oversight of the month-end close process, balance sheet integrity, and accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining a strong control environment. This role also supports technical accounting and corporate reporting, including evaluation of non-standard transactions, policy development, and financial disclosures. Partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, and external auditors, the Director drives process improvements, system enhancements, and AI solutions to automate workflows, improve data accuracy, and scale the accounting function in a growing, multi-entity environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations & Close Own and participate in all month-end close activities, including review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations Act as a primary point of contact for accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders Responsible for Accounts Payable operations and administer the company's expense reimbursement policy, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. Lead or participate in system implementations, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline the month-end close process, improve accuracy, and reduce manual effort Treasury & Cash Forecasting Oversee daily cash activities, including review of bank transactions and wire approvals Manage the transfer pricing activities and intercompany cash movements, ensuring compliance with global policies, accurate documentation, and timely settlement of intercompany balances Support preparation of cash flow forecasts and partner with FP&A on budgeting and projections Audit, Financial Reporting & Compliance Assist with preparation for annual financial statement audits and support ongoing audit requests from external audit firm Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance financial reporting, controls, and audit readiness Manage the development, documentation, and maintenance of global accounting policies and procedures Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting implications of complex or non-standard transactions Team leadership Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to explore and adopt AI-driven tools and solutions Supervise and develop Accounting and Accounts Payable team members Set performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and drive accountability for team deliverables Establish scalable processes and support global accounting operations across multiple entities and currencies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 7+ years of accounting experience, including a mix of public accounting, consulting, and/or industry experience 3-5+ years of experience managing or mentoring accounting team members AI-curious with a bias toward applying emerging technologies Strong understanding of US GAAP Experience with month-end close, financial reporting and balance sheet management Proficiency in Excel and experience with Workday FINS Seasonal overtime required (quarter-end/year-end/special project timing) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills CPA or CPA candidate preferred
