This leadership role is ideal for a strategic, client-focused accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced advisory environment and enjoys building high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and driving operational excellence. Position Overview The Director of CAAS will oversee the day-to-day operations of the outsourced accounting services practice, ensuring exceptional client service, team development, operational efficiency, and overall profitability. This individual will work closely with firm leadership while maintaining strong relationships with key clients and contributing to business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all outsourced accounting and advisory engagements Manage practice operations, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and business development prospects Develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing hybrid/remote team Monitor and improve KPIs, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency Drive resource planning, staffing, and team utilization Oversee performance reviews, employee development, and team engagement initiatives Identify and implement technology solutions to improve workflows and client service Support firm growth through new business development and cross-selling opportunities Ensure quality control, project management, and timely delivery across engagements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Active CPA license required Advanced degree preferred 10-15+ years of progressive accounting and advisory experience Prior experience leading outsourced accounting or client advisory services teams Strong business advisory, financial management, and client relationship skills Demonstrated success managing multiple client engagements and deadlines Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct and other technology solutions Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities Proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities Strong leadership and team-building capabilities This position offers a base salary range of $180-230K plus variable pay.
