Director of Accounting

Director of Accounting $180,000 - $200,000 base salary (depending on experience) Greater Phoenix, AZ (remote) Vaco has partnered with a SaaS company to hire their next Controller. This role will lead the company's accounting operations while driving process transformation, system improvements, and post-acquisition integration efforts within a high-growth environment. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to strengthen reporting, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's continued scalability. Oversee full accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, revenue accounting, AP, and project-based billing to ensure accurate and timely financial results. Drive improvements in billing, collections, dispute resolution, and working capital by partnering with Sales, Operations, Legal, and executive leadership. Lead finance systems enhancements and post-acquisition integrations to improve scalability, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency. Manage audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and internal control environment while serving as key liaison for external auditors, tax, tax advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

BS in Accounting or related field required CPA license required Private Equity backed company experience required M&A and acquisition due diligence experience required Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
