Almo Financial Solutions PLLC is a well-established, bilingual accounting and tax firm that has successfully served the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for ten years. We are seeking a high-integrity, growth-minded Managing Director to assume leadership of daily operations, manage our dedicated 7-person professional team, and lead our next phase of business scaling. Initially, this role will focus on a structured 90-day operational takeover and alignment period. Moving forward, the role functions as a permanent executive leadership position focused on firm profitability, standardizing workflow optimization, enforcing team key performance indicators (KPIs), and executing new client growth strategies. As a bilingual practice with a large percentage of Spanish-only speaking clients, fluent verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish is a strict requirement for this role.
Compensation & Benefits Structure:
Permanent Base Salary Growth & Retention Bonus Program :
Quarterly Retention Bonus:
15% of all gross firm revenue collected above a baseline per quarter.
Monthly New Business Accelerator:
15% of the monthly recurring revenue (MRR) collected from any brand-new client contracts closed or onboarded by the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Phase 1:
Firm Leadership & Business Continuity Team Leadership:
Direct and oversee the daily workflows of an established 7-person team, including four bookkeepers, an accounting clerk, and an operations assistant. Implement and maintain weekly capacity trackers to balance staff workloads.
Technical Review & Quality Control:
Serve as the final technical reviewer for monthly bookkeeping files, corporate formations (LLCs/S-Corps), payroll compliance, and Texas franchise tax filings.
Client Management:
Act as the primary escalation point for the firm's 20 core monthly recurring clients and 20 seasonal/as-needed billing clients, ensuring the firm's reputation for high-quality, personalized service is maintained.
Performance Oversight:
Monitor and optimize individual team metrics, specifically focusing on KPI's, uncategorized transaction aging, and client response turnaround times. Phase 2:
Strategic Scaling & Business Acceleration Account Optimization:
Proactively review the firm's 20 "as-needed" accounts and strategically transition eligible clients into predictable, fixed-fee monthly bookkeeping and compliance subscriptions.
Operational Scaling:
Free up the business owner to focus on expansion by continuously auditing software workflows (QuickBooks Online, TaxWise/Drake Tax) to maximize staff capacity and firm profitability.
Client Growth & Onboarding:
Leverage bilingual marketing initiatives and local DFW networking to close and onboard new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) accounts, driving the New Business Accelerator bonus.
Process Optimization:
Refine and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce time-to-close metrics across all client accounts.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor quarterly firm billing to safeguard and exceed the gross quarterly baseline revenue.
Qualifications & Skills:
Credentials:
Accounting Degree or Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred, or equivalent senior-level public accounting experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in small business accounting, corporate formations (S-Corps/LLCs), payroll compliance, and Texas state tax regulations.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced, hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online and professional tax software (Drake Tax or TaxWise preferred). Strong familiarity with Texas state compliance systems (SOSDirect, Comptroller). Language Skills (REQUIRED): Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to confidently conduct advisory meetings, handle complex client escalations, and review financial documents in both languages. Candidates who are not fully bilingual will not be considered.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing a production team, tracking staff utilization/capacity, and conducting final technical reviews.
